ap economics vs global problem solving?
i need to choose by monday but i'm realy conflicted.
Global Problem Solving
Pros
I like the topic of the class, which is discussing world issues (from what I've heard about it.
No homework/midterm/finals, just blogging and projects.
I already know I have at least one friend in the class with me.
Just the idea of the class is good to me
It'd be my one relaxing class that I actually like
Gets to organize a lot of community/volunteer projects
Cons
No extra weight to my gpa
Heard the class was "pointless" and "didn't learn anything"
Still a "pilot" class
AP Economics
Pros
Possible college credit
Grade is weighed more on my GPA
Might be able to opt out of taking the class or will be in accelerated economics when I go to college
Just learning economics would be a good thing
It's just good for college, better for applying to college when it shows I took a class that's related to business
I know the teacher really well
More competitive in a college app to have this class
Cons
Macro and Micro AP Exam = one full day of testing (and on the same day of a trip that I wanna go on if I decide to Model UN)
Adding this class makes me have 4 APs...which is a mad crazy workload considering how much I've suffered after only taking two
I don't know what to expect from it
i need advice or at least i needed to make this list. this decision is thinking in the near-future vs thinking in the long run :\
