For Modern Lives, we wanted to capture something of the young European style: that juxtaposition between good taste and irreverent - it only works when you are 17. I decided to cut Nati’s hair from her trademark bob into a broken-line page, disconnecting random lengths to add texture and interest. I wanted to create something that represented the spirit of South America: the music, vitality, beauty and freedom.
