Global game jam was super fun! Here’s the logo that me and @jayknoxart made for our game :D
Global Game Jam 2016
Hey peeps,
This past weekend I had to rad opportunity to work with some talented buddies on this year’s GGJ. For those that aren’t familiar with game jams, it’s pretty much a bunch of game creators (artists, coders, designers, etc) getting together and trying to pump out a game in a weekend. The games are almost always buggy and incomplete, but ya learn stuff, have fun and make cool things. I was lucky enough to get to work with the two guys who taught me game dev. Check ‘em out on twitter here: Ryan and Ian.
Anyways, here’s our game, “Otto,” on the global game jam site: http://globalgamejam.org/2016/games/otto
If you’re interested in giving it a try, Ryan put it up for download on itch.io
I won an award at my local #ggj2016 site in Honolulu. This is my second award in a row. My group's game, The Gentlebird's Guide to Dating and Mating, won "Most Polished". I did one song and some coding for this game, but I couldn't have done it without my teammates. You may play it here, even though it's a bit short: http://globalgamejam.org/2016/games/gentlebirds-guide-dating-and-mating #globalgamejam #globalgamejam2016 #ggjhnl (at Manoa Innovation Center (MIC))
