Important Changes to Downlink Frequencies.
GlobeCast Australia continually has started theprocess of updating its platform on Optus D2. Our entire Optus D2 platform will be MPEG4 compatible using the latest Thompson MPEG4/MPEG2 encoders. On July 30th, 2012 GlobeCast Australia started tooffer clients the option of an MPEG 4 DVB-S or MPEG 2 delivery. As part of this upgrade to the GC Australia Optus D2 platform some channels will need to change frequency as for them the upgrade means a change of transponder is necessary.
In order to assist viewers and clients inre-tuning set top boxes to the new frequencychannels currently on Optus D2 T7L will be dualilluminated on their new frequency from July 30th to August 19th.
If you tune to a frequency other than the GCAustralia Master Frequency of 12706 then as Channels are moving to a combination of Optus D2T5L & T5U viewers you will need to retune to the GlobeCast Australia Master Frequency:
* 12706 Mhz, FEC 3/4 to see all GlobeCast Channels.
Channels relocating and dual illuminating on T5L are:
SBN (Sonlife Broadcasting)
Radio Services moving to T5L will be:
Radio services associated with the BVN service.
HRT and NOVA services, along with RTS on (T8U)will move to Optus D2 T5U and will also be dual illuminated; GlobeCast is providing website links to assist inretuning and a Helpdesk Service for Viewers.
