Globalization is still and issue throughout the world. The definition of globalization is “The rise in the trade of goods and services across national boundaries, as well as the increased mobility of multinational businesses and migrant labor” (Conley, 2015). It is important that countries cooperate with each other in order the have peaceful globalization occur. The article above discusses just that. If different counties do not get along and work together this will negatively impact the poor countries. However, when the countries work together there are so many positive outcomes for everyone. In the article above Eduardo states “Since 1960, for example, life expectancy in India has risen by more than 20 years, and illiteracy in Korea has gone from nearly 30 percent to almost zero”( Eduardo,2006).They also state “The Uruguay Round trade agreement reached in 1995 is estimated to have produced over $100 billion a year in net benefits, accruing mainly to those countries that have reduced trade barriers the most.” ( Eduardo,2006). It is globalization that allows these great benefits to countries all around the world. Globalization also helps the economy and welfare around the world. So, what are the issues of promoting globalization? Well there are a few reasons why countries do not cooperate with each other. Globalization may give jobs to less developed countries from other countries therefore they may see it as a threat. With that being said, this will transfer money between countries in a way. However, there are so many benefits that come from globalization and it is important that we are aware of them. This is still a huge issue occurring that not enough people are aware of.
