I'm not at SHOT this year, but I have pals on the ground siphoning data to me. Although I did know about this magic a couple months ago. I just couldn't talk about it obviously. Glock has just announced a couple more pistols for their MOS series. The 17 and 19. So the $700 dollar question... is the 19/17 MOS a good solution if you want to run a red dot on a duty/CCW Glock? Sorta kinda... The MOS series of pistols do not come with suppressor height sights that co-witness with optics. Which is a huge problem because any handgun optic can fail and you've got to have back ups for when that happens. While you can add your own suppressor height sights, most people won't bother. Glock should have included suppressor sights with every MOS since the intended purpose of the MOS was... running an optic. Seems like a no brainer, I know. The MOS series is cool for people who like to shoot plate racks, have fun at the range, play with an optic to see if they like it, then remove it, etc... But Glock should have included suppressor sights on all MOS pistols to make them a more viable weapon system for personal defense. And... at an MSRP of $700, you're spending a lot for the MOS system. A regular optic mill job is like $100-150. So if you buy a regular Glock for $380-500, you'll save some money instead of going the MOS route. Then spend that saved money on ammo and train! #glock #glock19 #glocks #shotshow #shotshow2016 #glock19mos #glock17mos #glockmos #reddotglock #deltapoint #futureofpistols #openmind thanks @stoic672 for the pic!
