Gabriel’s smile deepened, his gaze never leaving hers as he took a step forward, the air around them thick with tension and unspoken challenges. The flicker of amusement in his eyes was undeniable, as if he were savouring this dance—both verbal and, perhaps, something more.
"Ah, Talon, always so certain of yourself," he said, his voice dripping with playful mockery. "But let me remind you—there’s a difference between being the predator and being perceived as the predator. A little humility goes a long way, even for someone as… intimidating as you." He tilted his head, his lips curling into a smirk. "Though, I have to admit, I like that fire in your eyes. It’s rare to find someone who really keeps up with me. But let’s be honest, the thrill of the hunt isn’t just about the catch, is it? Sometimes it’s about the chase. And if you think I’m going to make it easy for you, you’ve underestimated me."
His hand reached out, brushing lightly against her arm—a subtle touch that left an electrifying trace. "Just make sure you're not the one who ends up in my sights."
He stepped back, his smile lingering like a dangerous promise, as if daring her to rise to the challenge.
@gloomfaithed x She didn’t, but she doubted there was a point in explaining herself. He was obviously very intent on believing his own version of things. Talon had simply placed both herself and Solo in a way that protected them from the falling debris while everyone else in the room got smashed to bits. And Talon didn’t make it fall on purpose, the ceiling had been brittle already. “I know it’s hard to imagine but the Force doesn’t always favour the Jedi. It warns me too, plenty of times.” It gave Talon an edge when she needed it, proof that the Force was looking out for Sith and Jedi alike - and also abandoned them equally. “What you meant to do was thank me. Besides, I doubt these were friends of yours.” She didn’t quite know what his relation had been with these armed men, but she knew bounty hunters when she saw them..
Bounty Hunters. Hunting after him because of the deaths of another identity. And they called him by the name of his template. Or was he really Anakin Solo after all? Spartan. Anakin. Solo. Sal-Solo. Fake father. Real father. The former enforcer of a Corellian insurrection dramatically turned the tide of the battle when he briefly claimed his identity.
The power he felt as Anakin and even Spartan had faded and the man was left to wonder. A mental block prohibiting him from accessing his powers left him exposed, and now he was in the company of ----- well, an old natural instinct, no doubt from his father, would tell him to count his blessings to be in such gorgeous company. Stil, he looked seethingly at her before he pulled his blaster and shot some more goons coming their way.

Vegeta watched Talon struggle, her form crumpling under some invisible pressure. He scowled, not understanding what was happening but recognizing that it was serious. "This is ridiculous" he muttered under his breath.
With a swift motion, he closed the distance between them and scooped her up in his arms before taking to the air and soared away from the area. He had felt no disturbance, no strange power affecting him, which only added to his irritation. If he had to guess it probably had something to so with the force she had talked about before.
Vegeta felt a surge of irritation—this wasn't how he had planned to spend his time. He needed a competent sparring partner, not someone incapacitated by some invisible force.
Without another word, he took to the sky, flying away from the area as quickly as he could. The wind whipped past them, and he kept his grip firm but careful, mindful of her condition. He wasn't about to let his new sparring partner be taken out by whatever unseen force was affecting her. She'd be useless to him if she remained in this state.
He glanced down at her, still perplexed by her affliction. Being Force-sensitive was beyond his understanding, and it frustrated him to no end. But for now, his priority was getting her to safety and figuring out how to help her recover. Annoyed by the situation but determined, Vegeta pressed on, taking cue's from her body language to see where it would be safe to land again.

SPOTIFY WRAPPED, send me a number 1-100 and I’ll write you a starter based on the song. || @gloomfaithed whispered 38 for Feyd! || still accepting. 38: Milk Lizard by The Dillinger Escape Plan
This doesn't have to end in bloodshed, he’s heard before from tongues that wag and knees that bruise, It doesn’t need to end with one of us rendered a blaster-bolt-ridden or saber-slashed pile of sentient meat. But it does have to end.
It
always
does, because Feyd-Rautha doesn't proselytize for cycles, doesn't find holiness in prolonging. Let a weed propagate, and the garden's overrun, a mantle of parasitic roots, thorns with hooks. That's how he manages these places, these errands, no matter the ire that ought to be drawn from Those Above. He'll hear about it later with singing skin or a plasma blade. A collection of scars for his collection of scars.
Tilts his head at Talon, languid as a replete loth-cat, before slowly drawing the metal blade over the weeping man's throat. How archaic, he's been told, durasteel and a sharp edge: isn't is so much sweeter?
Saliva drip-drops from tongue to teeth before he licks his lips, black smile charming as the day he was born, certainly, like tar in a swamp. Maybe she finds he's taking too much time, as more footsteps approach, as more blasters surely cock to the ready.
Well, Missy, it's a lock for load! -- he doesn't say it, not aloud, letting his focus fill into something more, ah, professional. Na-Baron Feyd-Rautha, of House Harkonnen, always so apt to spill blood beyond the wanting earth of his motherworld. No reason to ask if she's ready. He knows she is, this alluring-yet-vicious creature that fights at his side. For it, he offers a wink before lunging at the next wave of attackers, just before he's molted again in that rabid akk-dog, drooling and blood-stupid.

The Inquisitor sat on the edge of his bed, laying a hand on her arm, he had been concerned about her for some time but hadn’t been sure how to express it. “You must be more careful, I cannot allow them to discover you, they may harm you and such a beautiful dark soul should be treated with more reverence than a tool.” There was much risk in their arrangement, he had not even told the Grand Inquisitor of her existence, he knew if he had, he would never have seen her again, the lack of being able to gain knowledge from the past would have been as much as a death than any of his fellow Inquisitorius or higher up could deliver. He wrapped the quilt around her. “I shall fetch you something to eat and drink soon once I know I will not be watched with the keenest eyes.”

Vos had finally got to the point where the Jedi trusted him to go out on missions alone again, without supervision. Yet, out of all the places they could send him to search for an artifact, Moraband. He knew he had to toss the discomfort aside. Although he was familiar with the planet due to his past, he truly would have liked to have accompaniment. To not be alone. But here he was. Other than the little droid that had accompanied him. He had a holo of what the artifact looked like, thankful to have that. The Jedi were not exactly sure of what the artifact held, he just knew that he had to bring it back. Keep it out of the wrong hands.
Once he landed, there he was. Droid following alongside him. He took a deep breath as he stepped outside of his transport. Back to the barren, abandoned landscape of Moraband. "Let's get this and get out," he said to himself. The sun was high in the sky, merciless with its heat. As he walked, the dirt crunched beneath his shoes. The air was heavy with decay and dust. It took him a bit of walking and searching to find it. He wiped the sweat from his brow as he found the entrance. It was an old tomb, one he was not necessarily familiar with. He thought it would be the same as the others he had visited. He made it to a particular room, one with a door that he could not get past. There was a pattern he had to figure out, surely it would be simple. He began studying the nearby markings on the tomb walls. The droid began to scan as well.
