His slurred words and breath, tinged with the sweet smell of alcohol, made it pretty evident that he was completely hammered- and yes, Lothar was correct, he handled his liquor much better in his younger years, but those were the times that the two, even three on the rare occasion, would raid bars for all their drinks.
That was no longer the case.

I took forever to answer this because there are so many. This wily little blueberry muffin of a mage is deeply unfair and I spend way too much time thinking about him in general, but yes. Going to restrict myself to movieverse or I’ll be here all day: canon/headcanon-y things under the cut~

Basically this ^^^ I’ve thought about this concept often, and there is evidence of him picking up a spell after seeing it once multiple times in the film events alone. And they’re all ridiculously dangerous applications that will almost certainly kill him if he ends up fubaring anything and he’s confident enough in his skills to perform them anyway. The first time he cast the teleport spell scene alone blew my mind, I mean he was confident enough to cast it after seeing Medivh do it, and then to take Lothar along as well. And you can bet your ass he wouldn’t have risked him if he wasn’t absolutely certain he had it down.
But yes, I have a lot of additional feelings about his confidence and where it falters (I could probably write a short novel about his motivations for leaving the Kirin Tor lol), but it certainly isn’t in this area.
☁ : Favorite part of RPing.
To bond over characters and their train wrecks and ultimately not only make new nerdfriends but also to come to a deeper understanding of the character I love, and share that with folks who appreciate them as well. SO basically I guess I like that it’s a social event as much as a literary one, and I feel that I’ve grown a lot since I started in ways that I never would have been able to if writing alone.

(probably about average. I don’t see him as having any particularly large amount of luck but I don’t really think he has a constant overwhelming lack of lack as well. Khadgar probably has his ups and downs like any normal person would, even though he was blessed with the talent of being good at his craft.)

(he’s not notably squeamish, but it’s definitely there. probably has the same amount as most people, plus a few more events, but it’s only with things that make him uncomfortable. sees blood doesn’t make him squeamish and that sort of thing, but things that would just about make ANYONE hurl would probably be things that make him feel squeamish. if this makes any sense??)

(most likely the fact that he can be skittish. he’s still young and not perfect of course, so sometimes silly little things get to him a lot easier compared to his older colleagues who probably don’t really care much about what was said.)
