Britney Spears Surprises Fans With Radically Different New Cover in 'Glory' for 2016
Whether it's pandemic boredom, slavish devotion or a combination of both, fans of some of the top divas in pop music have been having fun lately by launching social media promotions to put the less known albums from their favorite singers to the top of the download charts, years after the fact. It occurred in late April, in Mariah Carey's "lambs" propelled her 2008 album "E = MC2" to the top of the iTunes album sales list, closely followed by Madonna's devotees doing the same for "Bedtime Stories" in 1994.
It was the turn of Britney Spears on 3 May. Her most devoted fans rallied to put the 2016 album "Glory" to the top of the iTunes album charts, and she thanked them, posting a video message that recognized the weirdness of the chart revival and said, "I don't know what happened, but I'm having the best day ever, because of you."
