I’m with you and the rest of these fools are making me annoyed with Sanders at no fault of his own I just don’t UNDERSTAND how Liz is not right there with him. Like what are people DOING???
Granted when he announced his 2020 candidacy I was pissed for like 3 days because I think he should have put his momentum behind her and not run again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I also think he should have done that AFTER HIS HEART ATTACK. This particular race feels more like it’s about him than his policies and it’s rubbing me wrong. Would still gladly vote for him though
Ditto, ditto, ditto! I was pissed much longer than 3 days, largely because of point three and because I think he should have realized that was happening (but then again, he’s around a lot of people who conflate him and his policy to the point where they don’t recognize that distinction as an issue). But I was especially happy to have him in when it became otherwise a race to centrist mediocrity -- he and Warren did a good job double-teaming for quite a while.
Too many people don’t like Warren because they really hate very smart women. I mean, absolute revulsion. Less intelligent -- or less vocally intelligent -- women do better, just look at Klobuchar. And then too many other people consider her unelectable because of these people. (Beyond all specific policy and whatnot, I think that’s why Harris wasn’t going to have much of a chance to begin with, as she was in the same vein.)
And yeah, I still want him to drop out and back Warren. I straight-up think she’ll be better at making the most important stuff happen. Plus, after four years of Trumpland, I’m newly anxious about the antisemitism which will come into play with his candidacy, something I was not significantly worried about in ‘16. But of course I’d take him over literally anyone else still in the race if Warren can’t get ahead, and over almost everyone else who was in the race earlier (maybe not Gillibrand but that would be solely age-based, and obviously not Castro. But I think all the others).
