Obsession is a tragic thing. It usually doesn't end well. Glotoneria is a gory medieval tragedy about black magic.
Isaac is a monster that eats human flesh. He prefers men, but he usually meets women in his forest. This time period is particularly terrible for women. Every woman that causes trouble is quickly branded as a witch and hunted down. Isaac meets the tragic girls that manage to run away, and he eats them.
His favorite story is Beauty and the Beast. His mother, Iris, used to read it to him. She was a grieving mother, who was willing to do anything to save her frail son. Isaac the monster isn't the real Isaac. The real Isaac died a long time ago. Lady Iris picked up a monster one day. The pile of flesh and tentacles could kill anything, but it was small. She experimented on it, and eventually created a copy of her son.
She used parts of the monsters body to keep her son alive. The real Isaac eventually died though. Her experiments failed. Monsters and black magic can't actually help sick people. After Isaac dies Iris starts torturing the monster, and she takes more of its flesh.
It lets her, because it loves her.
She's his mom.
His mother places the dead body on an altar, and starts trying to put him back together. The monsters tentacles can mimic any living thing, and Iris is insane enough to use them to make his rotting lungs pump.
Crimer is Iris's husband, and he's a good man. After he sees what she's done to Isaacs dead body he burns it. He lets his son go, and tries to free the monster.
Iris tries to kill her husband, and they both die.
The monster grows up without them, and he becomes colder. He steals the name Isaac, because he wishes he was that sick boy they loved so much.
"Isaac" has to eat human flesh. It's the only thing that tastes good, and he'll lose his human body if he stops. He doesn't want to lose all of his memories. He has already forgotten Iris's face. He only remembers her red hair.
Then he meets Livana. He doesn't eat her, because her hair is red, but she's nothing like his mom. She's really loud, and chatty, and she smiles alot.
She doesn't cry all the time.
He likes her.
When she says she wants to see him again he waits by the village gate for her. He doesn't move. He just waits happily. The villagers think Livana is a witch. Her brother is the Abbot, and that's why she's still alive. Even the orphans in the church hate her, and blame her when anything bad happens.
They think she's a living bad omen, because her parents died in an accident.
Abbot Percival is crippled because of an accident too, but Livana is innocent.
The witch hunts have ruined her life.
She wants someone to save her.
Her childhood friend, Ethan, loves her very much. He looks sweet, but he is possessive. He's the barons son, but he wants to marry the woman he loves. His mother is miserable because his father is a womanizer. He has at least three mistresses. Ethan wants to avoid that bleak future, and he thinks Livana is the only one for him.
When Livana sneaks out to see Isaac Ethan betrays her. He tells the Abbot she has been flirting with a man at night. The Abbot punishes her for her insolence. Livana doesn't have to work like other women, because she's his sister. She didn't get hanged for witchcraft because she's his sister. The Abbot believes she should be grateful and obedient.
He locks her away, and Ethan is powerless to stop him. He's not the Baron yet, and he isn't Livana's husband. He made a stupid mistake because he was jealous.
Isaac gets impatient. He waits for Livana for a whole month, but then he snaps. He walks in and massacres everyone in the church. Including the Abbot, and all of the orphan children that live there.
Ethan dies too.
Livana watches him die, and realizes how foolish she was. She has been waiting for a perfect prince to save her from her suffering. She regrets that. She wishes that she could go back in time, and fix her own problems. Isaac has technically given her everything she wanted, and that drives her mad.
She asked for this. She wanted someone to save her and take her away.
Livana tells Isaac that his feelings can't be love, and then she falls off a cliff.
Isaac brings her to the same alter, and he gives up his body to save her. He wiggles inside her. He makes her organs move again, and they become one.
