“Ve need to name it,” Kurt said seriously as he looked at the sack of flour on the table between him and Rogue. “Babies need names. Even if zey are made of vheat.” He patted his pretend baby on the head (top of sack?) with a fond smile. It was kind of a silly class project, but Kurt was quietly excited about it. As far as group projects went, playing house with one of the members of the X-Men he didn’t know as well sounded like a pretty good time to Kurt. Maybe by the end of this, he would have a new friend! And either way, he was going to have fun playing papa to a pretend baby.

his long fingers grasp the ones she’d used to grab his arm as he looked down at her. “i’ll find them after we get you to a doctor. we’re going to get you to a doctor, okay?” he lifted her up into his arms, carrying her to the nearest vehicle before laying her in the back seat. good thing he knew how to hot wire cars, bad thing was he had to hurry.

“you sure you don’t have a healing factor? that would really help right now.”

He wasn’t paying attention as she walked into his basement office, his back turned away from the door as he sifted through photos of the incident in New York. He finally heard the rustle of papers and turned to look.
