Bet the Bastards feel the same about the Brotherhood as the Brothers feel about the glymera.
Maybe it was just his luck that ankle monitors were made waterproof. Some luck. It was a bloody curse.
He was a bloody curse.
A blight on the brotherhood. One more mistake. One more fuck up. One more betrayal.
And he was done.
It was over.
The thought did cross his mind. The thought to just end it all. Give in and end the life of a betrayer.
Betrayer. That’s what everyone called him. Even their brother across the pond.
That’s what you get for killing your own kind.
Arms curled around bare knees, gaze burning into that fucking ankle monitor. He’d long since forgotten what life was like without it.
Without constant surveillance.
It seemed like ages..
With a disgusted breath he slumped back against the actual bed. It was messy, and a towel lay beneath his bare body. The shower was nice. Private. With actual hot water. That he was glad to have. Something he wouldn’t take for granted any longer.
He’s stood under the spray, clean, until the water ran cold. Until he was blasted with ice and he shivered so violently his teeth chattered. Rattling like chains.
Eyelids blinked slower and slower until they drifted closed and his feet slid forward until his knees straightened out.
Apparently he was going to be given full leniency after such a long punishment which some liked to think just wasn’t long enough. If this was the old world and things were as they were before, he probably would’ve been put to death. But he was vouched for. He’d plead his case before the Scribe Virgin. Before the leader of his division.
And somehow he managed to save himself through the honesty he lay at their feet.
At her feet..
And if something were to befall another brother at his hands once again, he would go before the Blind King.
As if it mattered.. as if that could change his fucking fate.
Bloody hell he’d ruined his own life. Wasn’t that punishment enough? A male of worth did not kill his own.
A male of worth didn’t plead with desperate tears spilling down his face..
One final blink and his eyes were closed. One final blink and his breathing had slowed. One final blink and he was sent adrift. Sleep sweeping him out to sea in its warm waters.
Drowning him in a blank silence.
For Brotherhood Confession #1834, and others, it was stated that Solange, Qhuinn's sister, is reincarnated as Sola. I was wondering why that is? Was information stated somewhere to bring this belief to fruition? (by the way, awesome blog!)
I couldn’t find the Confession you’re referring to. The #1834 is not it.
But, I have the answer for you, dear!
Sola could never be a reincarnation of Solange. Unless stated otherwise by the WARDen, which was not.
Solange was born around 1959, if we consider that:
-All Qhuinn’s mother pregnancies were healthy and took full 18 months;
-Qhuinn was born in 1983;
-In Lover at Last, the prologue was about a young Qhuinn watching Luchas just after Changing.
-It’s said that Solange’s tongue problem should’ve been fixed after Changing, but it wasn’t. Just like Qhuinn’s heterochromia didn’t.
That takes us to the very point where: Solange is the eldest of Lohstrog’s children, and Sola was already born when the vampire was killed in 2010.
Sola is in ther thirties, I suppose. Also, She is a lot more strong willed and brave than the Solange showed to us.
I hope that answers your question, and I’m happy you like the blog! :D
