Creating multiple Gmail labels

Is there a way I can create multiple sub-labels instead of one by one? I have created the following labels

-2015 -January -3,4 -10,11 -17,18 -24,25 -February -31,1 -7,8 -14,15 -21,22 etc.

Each label & sub-label is created individually… tedious work! I was wondering if there is a quicker way to add multiple sub-labels all at once, instead of creating one by oneby

The Gmail sidebar displays the list of our labels (or some of them, according to settings). Next to every label name there is a number showing how many unread messages we have for that label.

Is there a way to display also the total number of messages for each label?

Say I have the label Home/Family/Kids and Home/Family, is there any search expression that can match both of these with a single term? For example, I want to use a search query like label:Home/Family*.

Note that using Home/Family/Kids OR Home/Family is not a good solution since I have many labels and this wouldn’t be practical.

The Important label shows up on the left sidebar, and I want to get rid of it. I can hide it under the “X more” dropdown, but that doesn’t get rid of it but only hides it.
