Character Development 1: Basics

Character name? Demetri Avery/Dolos

Age and DOB? Twenty-six. October 12

Any Nicknames? "Dem" is the only one he doesn’t cringe at.

Hair Colour? Brown

Eye Colour? Brown

Accent (if any)? His voice is pretty neutral naturally, a least for a NYC accent, but he’s an amazing imitator of different accents. He stresses his natural one for everyday use unless the situation or joke calls for something else.

Height? 5’7”

Weight? 175lbs

Type of Clothes? Depends on the con. His normal wear is classy, though not ostentatious unless he has reason for it to be.

Scars or birthmarks? How they got their scars, if any. He has a noticeable scar on the left side of his jawbone, near his ear, that extends down his neck a couple of inches. He wasn’t always as good at getting out of trouble as he is now.

Current Relationship Status: Married to Zachary Williams.

Sexuality they identify with: Straight.

Gender they identify as: Female.

What have they done sexually: Hadie was surprisingly inexperienced with sex before she met Zachary. She was not a virgin, but she have never been one to sleep around. 

Who are their closest friends: This is Hadie. Most people can't stand her. 

What do they value most in people: Honesty, fidelity, intelligence.  

Do they believe in love: Hadie honestly believed in love when she married Zachary. She now curses it and believes it's all a big lie. She does truly love her husband though, but she has her doubts about how deep his love is.

Do they feel mature yet: Yes.

What smell attracts them: The smell of fresh flowers or sweet fruit.

What are they most likely to find attractive in a person: Power.

Are they a morning person: Not really.  

What is their general attitude towards homework/work: Hadie doesn't work, not really. She helps her husband with the gang business when she can and he lets her. She doesn't care for doing any physical labour.

Character development - 02 - History

1) What does your character think of the prohibition? That it's stupid and she's gonna drink anyway - the government hasn't done shit for her, so why start listening now?

2) What is their opinion on women voting? Honestly, she feels like her voice won't be heard anyway, so she doesn't even bother paying attention to politics. Nobody's gonna care about a whore.

3)What is your characters favorite thing about the roaring 20s? The booze and the loneliness that comes after war.

4) Hobbies? Gardening. Mostly flowers, but she does have this one sprout of a tree she's working on. She would love more.

5) Opinions on the the great war? Only that the soldiers grew lonely and still are mostly.

6) What were they doing during the war? Living out west, tired of monotony, and planning on leaving.

7) Characters opinion on the crime? That it lends itself to other unlawful acts, which works for her.

8) What is their American dream? Getting out of New York.

9) A traumatic experience for them? Her first boss beating her and her first withdrawal from drugs.

10) What’s one thing that reminds your character of past memories? Anything related to death reminds her of bad memories, but nature reminds her of happier times.

Accent (if any)? A slight Midwestern accent.

Height? 5' 7"

Weight? 115 (underweight)

Type of Clothes? Typically very skimpy dresses (flapper dresses and makeup were initially only worn by prostitutes before and during the the early years of the 1920s).

Scars or birthmarks? How they got their scars, if any. She has a faint scar on her cheek, below her right eye from the first and last time an employer forgot to hit her where you can't see. His ring scratched her skin when he backhanded her.

Character development - 02 - History

1) What does your character think of the prohibition?  - Hadie thinks it's the greatest thing ever, it's the reason why the gangs have become so powerful. 

2) What is their opinion on women voting? - Hadie is a big supporter of this, she generally think that men are idiots and therefore she's all for power to the women. 

3)What is your characters favorite thing about the roaring 20s? - The cars, the parties, the booze? You take your pick.

4) Hobbies? - Hadie likes to read, she also likes to hurt every women her husband decides to take to bed.

5) Opinions on the the great war? - Hadie doesn't really care. 

6) What were they doing during the war? - Living her life as normally as possible, also enjoying looking at all the men in uniform.

7) Characters opinion on the crime? - Hadie knows that her husband's power (and therefore partially hers) has crime to thank for that, so naturally she is a big supporter of it. She never did like living after rules, any way. 

8) What is their American dream? - All Hadie wants at the moment is power - and a wish for her husband to actually stay faithful to her.

9) A traumatic experience for them? - When Julie got hurt from the attack on the café, she realised that her family was not safe and never will be. 

10) What’s one thing that reminds your character of past memories? - White roses and her husband's girls on the side.
