January 19, 2016: GM Cleanse Day 1, Part 2
No, this isn't the second part of a post about today. Today is the second time I try day one of this cleanse. I was supposed to do it with one of my co-workers, but she decided that she couldn't do it this week. And I already bought all the food so I might as well try to get through as much as I can. The GM Cleanse is a 7-day cleanse with a highly restricted diet. Today, Day 1, is nothing but fruit, except bananas. You can eat any fruit you want and as much as you want all day long. Tomorrow is veggie day. All veggies, all day, as much as you want, except for corn, peas, and beans. The third day is fruit and veggies, with the same restrictions as the others. Day 4 is yogurt and bananas. That day will be hard. Days 5 and 6 seem a little easier. Chicken and turkey are allowed on those days, so we'll see if I can get that far. Haha. I've been stuffing my face with cantaloupe, watermelon, honey dew, strawberries, apples, and blueberries all day. And I'm still hungry. I just really want to devour a steak or a chicken breast. Maybe a sandwich. I'm just so hungry. Haha. My goal in participating in this cleanse is not to lose a ton of weight really fast. My goal is to kickstart my weight loss. I know that if I continue to watch what I eat and stay active and only lose a pound or two a week, it will be a long time before I see real results and that will discourage me. I need to start seeing results quickly for me to keep at it and really change my lifestyle. That's what I'm hoping to get out of this cleanse. I just have to survive the next week in the meantime.
