Guardian monster trio
Noriyoshi Ohrai's absolutely gorgeous painting for the poster of Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001).
Gojibusters!
Plotting, scheming, up to no good, lurkinn
I'd basically always like to see a writer take a batshit crazy swing interpreting an old character rather than playing it so safe that it comes off as bland and uninteresting
He’s not fat, just big-boned.
Some news: I've co-curated a brand-new kaiju screening season at the Barbican Centre, London, called All Kaiju Attack: All Stars!
The season celebrates some of the biggest names in kaiju cinema, and includes the UK premieres of two Millennium-era Godzilla films: GMK (on 35mm!), and Godzilla 2000: Millennium. I'm introducing both of these films in-person on 29 and 30 August, respectively. Additional events include an outdoor screening of Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, a King Kong vs. Godzilla (US version) and King Kong Escapes double feature, and a rare UK screening of Frankenstein vs. Baragon.
The full lineup is here, and tickets are on sale now!
