‘Class of 2016′
this year’s GMKC is finished! and i couldn’t have asked for a much better send off to this year in competitions (even if i only joined two ^^;) even if none of us won, i spent the afternoon in great company, and that’s what i always look forward to during awarding days (and in a little over a month, what i will miss) ♥ until next time!
i’ll keep building and keep improving even when i’m overseas. i’ve got my fingers crossed that GBWC has online photo submissions, so that i can still participate!
i’ll be posting my favorite photos/entries from each category all throughout the week (and feature these amazing modelers beside me as well)
Robin ( ✲ ) GMKC 2016
excuse the yellow night lighting, i’ll take better photos in the morning, but here it is! my entry for this year’s GMKC (and my last competition in the country before I prepare to fly ; v; )
i’m in the middle with this one. there’s obviously a lot to improve on in terms of cleanliness and paint had i not crammed. the mono eye and glowy chest + back parts are absolutely gross.
but all in all, i like it. it isn’t cluttered like my previous detail work, the color scheme is simple (much thank you to this as my inspiration, quite literally) and the handpainting itself wasn’t difficult. i’ll improve steadily with the birds ^^;
i like how all spaces aren’t filled. dunno why, maybe to showcase the actual shape of the unit minus everything else that’s going on, also bc that particular side will be obscured by the axe
all that’s left tomorrow is semi-gloss and matte for the weaps, and she’s all set!
