Love that Maya stayed at Riley's side. I'll repeat this until the end of time: Riley and Maya have substance.
Ava's storyline was very interesting, especially with Maya at the end.
I've been spoiled on the major beats of this episode all week. I knew the "it's not your fault" moment was coming. I knew everyone but Maya was going to abandon Riley. Even so, I still liked watching it.
Farkle saying Riley ruined their first day of high school was rude as hell and I'm angry about it, but he's a child and I still want to believe he's capable of learning from his mistakes.
Maya and Riley letting Farkle know that they're upset with him was powerful and interesting.
When Ava's dad leaves, Maya tells Ava to stick by her best friend. You know, like how Maya stuck by her best friend when her dad left. Weird how they keep comparing Riley and Maya to couples...*cough*they'regonnamarryeachother*cough*
Good episode. Some bits felt like more of the same, but it was interesting overall. Looking forward to part 2 this Sunday.
