Увидела свет версия 2.2 дистрибутива GNU/Linux gNewSense, принципиальная политика которого - полное отсутствие в составе дистрибутива несвободных компонентов.В новом релизе вновь включена в установку по умолчанию поддержка аппаратного ускорения 3D-графики на базе GLX, что стало возможным после изменения лицензии модуля GLX на более либеральную. Кроме того, в инсталлятор добавлена поддержка файловых систем XFS и JFS.Отметим, что gNewSense входит в список дистрибутивов, рекомендованных Free Software Foundation.
