Last week I helped with the Gnome clam bake. It's one of the organization's biggest fundraisers of the summer. I helped with decorations, shucking corn, helping set up arts and crafts, and organizing food. It was really fun because I met people that were a part of gnome that weren't a part of the beach team

Last Tuesday I was a mentor for the last Girls Team meeting. We all played games, painted rocks, and then went out to surf together. It was my first time, but I loved it! I also helped with the Happy Camp again this past Sunday. The waves were a bit big, but we kept every athlete safe, and the ones I worked with were having a great time.

On Sunday, I helped with the Happy Camp again. One of the athletes I worked with was super nervous about getting in the water, but by the end of his session, he told his parents he had fun. I'm glad to know we pushed him outside of his comfort zone, and he had a rewarding experience!

Yesterday I helped at the Gnome Happy Camp and it was so fun! I worked with another girl my age, and we helped catch boards and learn from the instructors. After the surf sessions, we went back to the surf shop and did the award ceremony for all of the athletes.
