Today I helped with a special camp for athlete's with physical disabilities. I made sure the athlete's were sturdy on the boards by sitting behind them and keeping them balanced while riding the waves. I got to meet people with a range of disabilities, and interact and connect with them by having fun in the water!
Yesterday I helped with the Happy Camp at Gnome Surf, where I assisted with board safety in the water, and athlete emotional support. At the end of the sessions, we returned to the shop, and had a pizza party and an award ceremony to celebrate all the athlete's accomplishments!
