Cloth time
psssst hey kid u want some cloth? But you don’t wanna buy from a specialty store cause you’re low on cash? I got ya covered
Sheets and curtains are usually cheaper than fabric store cloth. You’ll be limited in size but you’ll still get a ton of variety. Don’t buy them online though, search engines like throwing full bedsheet bundles at you from name brands when all you really need is the literal sheet.
Also if you want something heartier - some kind of upholstery type fabric is usually on sale in fabric stores since it’s not exactly super popular. It you want to make clothes you’ll need a liner so it’s not scratchy but other than that, you now have a piece of clothing that is tough and will last. If you want it to be less stiff i’d recommend popping it in for a few washes with fabric softener, being sure to air dry. Perhaps it’s just the fabric I use, but I’ve found that air drying tends to keep upholstery fabric softer.
This is especially great for goblin clothes, since you can crawl around the forest as much as you want without worrying about tearing a hole in your pants, or jacket! And if you want something more shiny, don’t worry. Some upholstery fabrics are fancier than others.
