Hm… This legit makes 0 sense. I also don’t believe in the team making mistakes at all, so respectfully does anyone have any ideas on why this extra changed clothes?
More clues for something being afoot… They’re only in 2 shots as far as I can see…

I'll try my best to avoid posting spoilers for the first 10 days of Good Omens season 2 because I'll be in Greece (brag) but after those 10 days when I have nothing better to do with my time, BOY OH BOY YOU BETTER WATCH OUT
There is something about the angels in s2e2. They don't know humans. They know the concept of them, but not them.
They don't know how humans are made, (except for Gabriel who has a very wrong idea), nor how their bodies work nor what they want nor how they feel.
They don't understand that if you kill a human's children, they're gonna be sad about it, even if you promise them more kids. They don't understand loss or the human concept of justice.
But Aziraphale does.
He has been down on earth for a long time already, and has been "tainted" by humans: he knows how they act, think, feel.
And he has started to feel that way too.
No angel feels bad for Job and his wife, because to them justice is what God says. Aziraphale does, because he understands human concepts and emotions.
He has been tainted by humans, and in this episode he gets to actually understand it and start to accept it.
Aziraphale eats, so he has actually 'physically' been tainted by human things. And he lies, (which I'm pretty sure other angels don't understand as a concept) which is an human act.
Crowley too has been tainted by humans, being down there for as long as Aziraphale. He lies (he's a demon, but still) and he drinks and understand justice as a concept. He has already accepted that he's tainted, but he has not yet spoken it aloud.
In s2e2, Crowley admits that he has been tainted by humanity, to an angel who understands at the same time, that the same thing has happened to him.
