In this two-part post, we will explore the set of observability tools which are part of the latest version of Istio Service Mesh. These tools include Zipkin, Jaeger, Kiali, Service Graph, Prometheus, and Grafana. To assist in our exploration, we will deploy a Go-based, microservices reference platform to Google Kubernetes Engine, on the Google Cloud Platform.
