I feel bad. I went on dueling book today to get my feet wet with GOAT format again, after having it played in a few years. Unfortunately, I was using my goat control deck against an opponent running a doriado deck, and I managed to get jinzo in my opening hand or first two draws both games.
It was not an even match unfortunately. I'm sorry 1ElementalHeroStratos.
Like I see a card like piranha army and go fuck this would be so much fun to build a stupid strategy around. Either use legendary ocean/camouflage armour backed up with scapegoat/United we stand or maybe Mage power to bolster it up to 4000 atk (maybe less depending on how the duel goes) or just use secret pass to the treasures (most niche card pick ever) to the same end. Clear back row, straight shot and piranha army wins the duel with one huge direct attack.
This is not something that is at all reliable to pull off and definitely won't win any tournaments but theory crafting something and finding the pieces to put it all together is just so much fun
Deck building in old school Yu-Gi-Oh is so much fun. Do you think the goat format people would like me making these weird decks and making up characters to go with them. Or is it purely hardcore gaming around those parts
