Set out fresh bhoosa for the goats today to sit on comfortably (the ground has been sufficiently trampled and has been getting harder, and I didn't want them to scrape their itty-bitty knees.) So what did they do? They started eating the bhoosa. Like, ?? 🤷 Is there NOTHING that these asshats won't eat?! Here I am, trying to figure out the best combination of nutrition and shizz for them... As temperatures rise, and #bloat rears it's fuggles head, 1. The #goats' diet needs to be readjusted (less alfalfa; less grains; more green Clover -- lighter on their systems than Alfalfa; and more Rhodes Grass hay -- long firm stalks help with rumen activation, thus minimising bloat), and 2. 1/3 of the does' enclosure has been covered! 💕 I also need to keep an even closer eye on them now.
