what about 5sos as greek gods?

I love this question. I know there are many depictions of 5SOS across the fandom, but I have my own ideas about this with a different mix of gods. You can read more about them here. 

Ashton as Eros (Cupid) - God of sexual desire, attraction, love and procreation.

I see Ashton as a foundational part of the band, and someone who would do anything for love, perhaps, anything for his closest friends to find love too. I think he really gives off an air of sexuality that’s different than the rest. He knows that he looks good (as we've seen from several shirtless performances). He also seems dedicated to a fault when it comes to being compassionate and perhaps meddling in other people's business. Imagine him with fluffy white wings and a set of arrows over any outfit he's worn recently. I am so down, especially with the idea of him falling in love when he least expects it. 

Calum as Helios - God of the Sun.

I picked Helios for Calum because there are so many parts of him that are bright. He's a happy go lucky person with a lot of smiles to spare, but there's also a distance to him. A similarity to the planet itself, he can keep his space from anyone or any being that he doesn’t want to come in contact with. As a guardian, he is fearless and ready to put up a fight if he has to. I read Calum as wise, sensitive, and intelligent. His loyalty is what pushes him to be much brighter in my eyes than how he’s usually depicted. Dependable and balanced, I see him as someone who would overlook the world with ease. 

Michael as Morpheus -  God of dreams and sleep.

I see Michael as Morpheus mostly due to his sweet and sleepy demeanor. Michael strikes me as the type that would want to give people their perfect dream--perhaps visions of things that would come true or make them happy. I think he would give people the most wonderful sleep when he wasn't sleeping himself. I think he would be a fantastic mix with the other members as someone that would mellow out the group. Generally concerned about the next time he could go home or help someone get the rest they deserve versus worrying about much else!

Luke as Apollo - Olympian god of music, poetry, art, oracles, archery, plague, medicine, sun, light and knowledge.

Luke as Apollo is motivated by his love of music and what it brings to the rest of the band and the world. I think that he is beautiful, light, and talented. He would inspire many people as Apollo to be creative in their own way--from clairvoyance to helping others. I think he would be such a high power in Olympus due to his nature of giving everything he has to others. I think Luke would embrace every form of the arts and indulge in them. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be if he took on a human form and preformed in bars to blow the minds of mortals.

I think it would be interesting to see ashton as Eros trying to find love for himself and trying not to use the charm of his arrows but just himself ? (Which is possible, but no one really sees past his arrows and therefore they don't trust they are always getting the real him...)

I think Ashton would feel out of his depth trying to date someone. Perhaps it had been a thousand years since he had found someone attractive. He would look himself in the mirror without his wings. Trying to style his hair when he felt odd hiding his feathers. He would struggle between untucking his shirt and stuffing it under his belt. Ashton would summon Luke for advice on how to consort with lower gods and mortals. He wouldn't help much on that front, but he would tell Ashton to put on a leather jacket. 

Can you imagine him on a date with no arrows?

He would have booked two different dates in one night. The first at a restaurant he remembered was good a few years ago, his date Hera trying to impress him by ordering for him. She would almost be too much for him, trying to suggest how his magic could be used more effectively to make more marriages. 

Ashton would try to shrug it off without unfurling his wings. 

His second date would be much more....lowkey. Perhaps he saw someone he found attractive when he was trying to match up couples. Someone that couldn't see him look at their own reflection in a car window, walking away effortlessly as they went the other direction. Ashton assumed a human form just to ask them out. He walked into a bar with jitters, trying to suppress the urge to shut his eyes and disappear from view. 

You would look at him with the most genuine smile. 

Mostly because this handsome stranger came out of nowhere earlier in the day. You would drink in the image of his hair tousled and his shirt much more open than you remember seeing it. He was hot. You would try to keep blushing to a minimum as Ashton stumbled over his words. You could have sworn that you saw a pink aura around his face when he told you that he had never seen someone so beautiful. 

Though the night would have been full of small talk and awkward glances, Ashton would be smitten. 

He would have to motivate himself to use his arrows the next day. 

He had to get a phone to call you first.

Of course I had to send you something! If it's possible could you expand on Ashton falling in love unexpectedly and/or how he helps *cough cough* meddles *cough cough* in the boys' affairs? ily Jex ♥️

Eros!Ashton loves to meddle. 

He assumes that he can smell someone's perfect match from hundreds of miles away, even though he can’t find his own. He would dedicate a lot of time trying to find single gods mortals or goddesses that met their standards. He would occasionally make someone fall in love with a tree at a party--all in good fun. His arrows would be on him whenever people called in favors, as he is the only one that can make a match happen, good or bad. 

Ashton would be convinced that he could find Calum the perfect match when he visited him during daylight hours.  

He would go on and on about a goddess he saw near a river somewhere. Trying to tell him that she could be his type if he was open to the idea of water magic. Calum would roll his eyes as he tried to listen to the whispers of the works--retaining half the knowledge he would if Ashton wasn't there. He would think showing Calum who he was talking about could motivate him. Instead, Ashton would focus on a mortal from up in the clouds. 

Distracted by how they observed a plant as they walked by. 

Ashton would replay that moment in his head as his heart pounded inside of his chest. He would forget he had one until he was bubbling up with desire--trying to follow this special someone with a close eye and a telescope. Calum would clear his throat when he saw Ashton look like an excited puppy, keeping his eyes closed as he smiled. 

“I thought you wanted to find me a soulmate. Making this about you again, Ash?”

@rosecolouredash has so inspired me to do more greekgod!sos based on this ask I answered today. I am so in love with these assignments and I want to get creative with how I write more about them! I have one more headcanon in my inbox I can't wait to do, but I want more!
