The more modern seasons of futurama piss me off because why did they retcon Bender's origin. He was born fully grown and got a beer bottle with a nipple to sip from and called for mommy in his deep adult voice seconds before being plugged in to download "bending college" and get a certificate and be released into the world. But instead in season 6 they fucked that up to make Lethal Inspection's plot of Hermes approving him on the production line. Like the plot point is meh at worst I think but THEY HAD NO REASON TO MAKE HIM A BABY AND RETCON EVERYTHING BEFORE THAT. HERMES COULDVE APPROVED BENDER WITH THE ORIGINAL ORIGIN BY WATCHING HIM THROUGH ONE WAY GLASS OR A CAMERA TO APPROVE HIM OR SOMETHING. THEY ERASED MY BEAUTIFUL 0 YEAR OLD ALCOHOLIC SMOKER MISANTHROPIST SON. Forever mad at this.
