THAT'S WHY YHWACH TOLD URYU "WHY DO YOU THINK YOU SURVIVED THE AUSWAHLEN? BECAUSE HE KNEW, HE FUCKING KNEW. EITHER HE GAVE HIS MOTHER'S SCHRIFT BACK, OR he knew he inherited it, so in order to "avoid" the treason he knew it was going to happen he might have played the "oh boy here, have a new power" idk but either way fuck Yhwach.

This could also be the reason why Ryuken kinda resents Uryu in a way... since they are meant to be "opposite" to Ichigo and Isshin, while Isshin does not blame Ichigo for Masaki dying for his son, deep inside Ryuken probably does. And it's HELLA painful. Poor family, completely destroyed T-T
