so about me: i'm miranda, i'm 21 and i'm currently very stressed because i should be working on my thesis and i'm not. i haven't rp'ed in like three years so i'm going to be a little lost at first. i do have a discord but honestly i barely know how to use it lmao i think you can find me with this info i just copied and pasted: miranda#6971. so about hera, the basics are that she's the goddess of marriage, women, the sky and the stars of heaven. she was married to zeus at some point. this meme sums it up:

and even if she was revered as her husband she was still inferior to him and all, and he once hung her up in the clouds. hera was never fond of his affairs tbh.

i'm a little sick and my mind's foggy so i'm still not done figuring out claude but here's a quick summary of what i have so far and from what i'm still brainstorming with: her parents were both teachers in connecticut and they lived a pretty average life. her mother had an affair, which resulted in a divorce and claude's brilliant idea to runaway with her high school sweetheart to new york, which ended up beautifully with another affair lmao. she worked on retail for a while to survive in nyc on her own until she landed on a bridal shop, which was the beginning of her love for weddings despite the lack of desire for her own. her knack and love for weddings became an opportunity and she started her own business pretty small, but soon dropped everything else and made it a lil empire of her own. the club approached when she was just starting her business so she ignored them the first time, eventually joined bc she felt it wouldn't hurt, though she wasn't particularly happy with the revelation. she LOVES her job and is p much a workaholic hooked on xanax. one of the reasons her business is probably that successful is because of her power to bless or curse relationships.

raina basics 

was born and raised by her grandmother and her aunt, the only child out of her grandmother’s kids. 

tbh they considered raina the miracle baby, the only grandchild out of all seven kids- as if they had been cursed and she was the sun poking out from the clouds. 

because of this, raina was incredibly sheltered- given almost everything she asked for, learning very little about the hard times in the world. you know how in the sitcoms, every night the family closes out around the dinner table laughing? that was raina’s house, her, her aunt, and her grandmother all eating together, acting as if every issue had been solved 

however, when raina graduated university she was hit with a bomb that she had to keep secret from them- she apparently was a goddess, reborn and that’s why she could make rainbows dance out of her fingertips. 

now, she lies to her grandmother about where she ducks off to when she’s really attending god club meetings- trying to figure out who she once was.

━ ABOUT THE GODDESS

𝙰𝚁𝚃𝙴𝙼𝙸𝚂  is  the  goddess  of  the  hunt,  moon  and  chastity  and  was  overtime  eventually  associated  with  childbirth  and  nature. 

she  is  the  daughter  of  zeus &  leto.  and  twin  sister  to  apollo. 

in  mythology  she  holds  her  vow  of  chastity  very  close  and  dear.  she  kills  anyone  who  tries  to  disrespect  her,  and  diminish  the  importance  of  the  vow  she  made  to  herself  (  with  the  direct  imput  of  zeus  bc  for  some  reason  it’s  okay  for  him  to  hoe  around,  but  athena,  hestia  and  artemis ??  no  such  hoeing  )

what’s  interesting  to  me  is  that  her  and  apollo  respectively  brought  death  and  disease  to  young  girls  and  boys,  but  also  protected  them  until  marriage. 

one  of  my  favourite  stories  of  artemis  is  that  she  helped  give  birth  to  apollo  a  week  after  she  was  born  due  to  hera’s  insane  jealously  over  leto. 

━ ABOUT THE PERSON

𝙰𝙼𝙰𝚁𝙰  was  born  into  a  fairly  normal  family.  they  was  an  only  child  with  little  to  no  issues.  she  doesn’t  have  a  horrible  backstory.  her  family  was  well  of  but  weren’t  swimming  in  money.  they  could  just  live  comfortably. 

from  a  young  age  they  was  brought  out  on  hunting  trips  with  their  father.  she  didn’t  always  enjoy  them.  when  she  was  young  it  proved  to  be  very  difficult  for  her  to  handle,  and  yet  she  had  the  skill  for  it.

instead  of  being  forced  to  go  on  hunting,  when  she  expressed  her  distaste  her  father  allowed  her  to  pursue  archery  lessons  instead.  which  they  grew  to  really  enjoy.  by  circumstance  they  were  eventually interested  in  different  forms  of  combat  and  took  varying  lessons  through  her  life  thanks  to  their  families’  support. 

things  started  to  get  rocky  when  they  turned  eighteen  and  were  exposed  to  all  different  sorts  of  things.  they  finally  understood  sexuality  and  gender  and  it  caused  her  to  question  a  lot  of  things. 

at  the  ripe  old  age  of  nineteen  after  battling  with  a  lot  of  internalized  homophobia  amara  came  out  as  a  lesbian  to  her  parents.  her  dad  was  initially  very  supportive,  but  her  mother  wasn’t  having  it. 

in  order  to  be  able  to  live  as  she  needed  and  wanted  to  she  had  to  cut  ties  with  her  mother,  which  hurt  her  quite  a  bit.  her  mother  had  always  seemed  like  a  kind  individual  but  apparently  she  wasn’t  very  open  minded. 

she  still  keeps  in  contact  with  her  father,  the  write  emails  every  two  months  to  catch  up  on  their  lives.  it’s  difficult  for  her  but  it’s  nothing  she  can’t  handle  at  this  point. 

she  was  forced  out  on  her  ass  with  no  where  to  turn  and  feeling  lost  as  could  be  when  she  started  working  horrible  part  time  jobs  in  order  to  just  stay  afloat. 

she  eventually met  her  roommate  tanner,  who  was  also  a  struggling  gay  and  they  got  a  small  rented  apartment  that  they  shared  in  order  to  get  their  feet  on  the  ground. 

she  was  approached  by  the  god  club  a  year  ago  and  honestly  thought  her  friends  were  playing  a  prank  on  her  at  the  time.

she  doesn’t  remember  her  past  life  which  is  why  she’s  perfectly  content  with  staying  her.  she  built  this  life  for  herself  from  nothing  and  she  doesn’t  feel  like  she  can  give  that  all  up  now,  especially  with  the  relationships  she’s  built.

vega was born in paris, france to spanish-cuban immigrants.

she moved to the us at 18 to study communications and english literature at nyu

she was a year away from graduation when she was approached about being a goddess. she brushed them off and went about her life but over the next few months she started to discover she was controlling her friends’ relationships. she started going to god club that week.

vega remembers very little about her past as aphrodite and cannot determine what’s her memories and what’s things she’s read.

she hates her gift of love manipulation. she knows that as aphrodite she’s supposed to be much more powerful and finds it frustrating to be deduced to something of a cupid. that’s why she’s determined to return to olympus.

deciding to put what she could do to use, she became a professional matchmaker for the rich. 

she falls in love easily and is always worried it’s because of her power.

she cannot control other gods at this level of power and feels much more comfortable around them because of this.

vega is very soft on the exterior but she’s easily insulted and rather petty. she only wants to befriend people but often finds herself acting out and becoming childish, starved for attention. based on the myths she’s read, she figures this comes from her old life as aphrodite

she’s fluent in french, spanish and english.

i consider uranus to be aphrodite’s father and ignore the version of her being the child of zeus and dione.
