I’VE MADE A MISTAKE
An actual story told by my friend Steve today: -Roommate comes back with two tabs of acid- "What are you doing tomorrow night?" "I have shit to do man." "Cool I'll be taking both of these by myself then."
fuck i just made toast and now there’s no electricity in my house
Cap 3 - the one where Tony becomes another one of Steve's brunettes chasing after him yelling 'GODDAMMIT STEVE!' and I'm really looking forward to it
OH GOD YES PLEASE. because, literally, the Russos seem to be acknowledging Tony’s character arc over the course of the movies. He’s *NOT* the guy who makes the reckless igaf decisions anymore save for extreme circumstances. (Like getting mindfucked or you know Happy nearly getting asploded)
And for all that we adore Steve (and we do, we SO DO), he’s still a twenty-something guy (in love one might say) who tends to do somewhat ill-considered and reckless things at the BEST of times (I love him, but as much as he can be a tactical genius, he also tends to do a fuckton of leaping without looking) so that he’d do that in this case where his soulmate (whether it’s romantic or not, that’s definitely Bucky’s spot in his life) is literally a wanted man, he’s not going to think. He’s going to grab Bucky and blow through whatever poor bastard (or evil bastard, depending) happens to be in his way.
Tony’s actually a LOT more stable right now than Steve is. Tony’s in a long-term relationship, has a support system, is a lot more aware of his issues, while I don’t even think Steve has cottoned to the fact he’s got a super-soldier sized case of PTSD and survivor’s guilt going which means, yupppppp, I demand fandom serve up a graphic with Tony drawn into running after Steve right along with Peggy, Bucky, and Sam.
Because for SERIOUS. (also I love the fact that they’ve remembered Tony being a billionaire does actually grant him some political weight. God only knows what he’ll have to promise Ross in trade though. *shudder*)
Steve is physically incapable of leaving behind stray animals he happens to run into on the streets so he takes them back to the tower. Tony was more than ok with it at first because that little pit bull mix was cute and feisty just like pepper so she got to stay (her name is Lydia). He generally enjoyed the company of the three cats that ended up at the tower and hesitantly accepted the next three dogs that came in over the next year. Tony couldn't help but say yes because Steve was just so sweet and kind that he cradled each and every animal he brought home like it was the most important being in the world and you can't say no to captain America's puppy dog eyes However, Tony draws the line when Steve brings home a mistreated police horse named snowball who is looking a little thin and very sad. Because honestly Steve you STOLE A HORSE
if steve had just given peggy the damn coordinates like she told him to they could have found the fucking plane like a day later rather than seventy years in the future but noOoOO steve rogers is a too fucking uptight he must die with the plane for his country instead of giving his damn location before the crash like its really not that hard steve just do as peggy says
