Man, I wish I had found this blog sooner! I'm 22 and have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease within the last year. I've been in some form of pain for so long that I can't remember what it's like to be pain-free, and the pain and fatigue is getting worse with each passing day. However, the specialist I was sent to basically said that my test results weren't severe enough to warrant putting me on any medication. It's become so incredibly frustrating that I have to suffer like this (1 of 2)
when i KNOW how bad I feel. It's also affecting me mentally because I have both (self-diagnosed) anxiety and depression. Do you happen to know of any resources regarding Hashimotos? I'd love to get a second opinion, but I'm still living with my parents and am their crappy insurance so I don't have the funds to do so.(2 of 2)
I’m glad you found us! I’m so sorry you’re dealing with chronic pain and no meds, I’ve been there & it’s incredibly hard. I personally do not know of resources for Hashimotos, but there are some blogs listed under Hashimotos on this list (the first url was no longer working, second two are). I will open this up to followers for recommendations.
followers w/ Hashimotos, raise your hands! (and please share resources if you have some!)
