Goddess of Song and Vengeance
Having been offered to the God of Despair as a child by her stepmother, Clara grew up at the God’s shrine, as its caretaker. When she came of age, she became on of the God’s lovers, giving herself wholly to him and spurning all suitors. One such scorned man flew into rage and murdered the girl on the steps of the very shrine that she kept. The God, in mournful fury, wept upon his lover’s breast, imbuing her with new life and righteous vengeance. Thus Clara rose as a Goddess and stole life from her killer, reborn in the blood of revenge.
