Navratri – festival of nine days – is observed mainly in northern part of India and Gujarat. This nine days long celebration includes religious fasting regime by the people in northern states while those in Gujarat get engrossed in the enthralling Dandiya & Garba dance to honor and worship Goddess Amba in nine different avatars.
