        the thing about being a ghost is that you’re typically very good at sneaking up on people. the hard part is getting them to finally see you. THIS ghost knew a thing or two about literally never being seen. but recently, he’d decided to target his hauntings in places where the people tended to be more open to the paranormal. maybe then, someone might notice him. 

        and well, the first mildly-interesting not completely gross living person he came across was in for a bit of a SHOCK.

        “ hi, ” there’s his voice, out of nowhere before he finally materializes ( or tries to -- PLEASE let this rando be able to see him ). “ do not be afraid. i am DEAD. ”

Red hues remain attentive despite the lack of reaction, still holding onto the hope that the story will get more interesting.  Long blinks & head rested in her hand, she can’t help but look a little disappointed.

       though evan’s elaborate answer was one bill could agree && relate with, it was out of nowhere && threw him off. for once, bill stared at the other with a perplexed expression. “ the fuck... ” as much as bill wanted to rant about life && his future && how it has && will fuck him over, he wouldn’t. he considered those topics to be PERSONAL, && bill refused to get personal with anyone, not even those he considered friends.

       once alerted, bill left his seat && already making his way to the cash register. “ dude, that’s not what i meant && neither is that... i already have in mind what i’m gonna order from the menu, the kids’ meal. but, i already have the aquaman && mera. i dunno which toy, er... character to get next... dunno which one i want. ”

               even     johnny     himself     finds     it     hard     to     keep     track     of     what     sets     him     off          ,          exactly          ---------------          both     in     general          ,          &          now          ,          specifically   .     in    fact          ,          the     sudden     change          &         practiced     motions     have     become     so     natural     to     him          ,          there’s     not     one     part     of     him     which     stops     to     think          ,          why     am     i     doing     this     again          ?          (          of     course          ,          he’s     hardly     up    there     at     all     anyway          ,          eyes     vacant          &          violent     like     a     rabid     dog’s   .          )          perhaps     evan     breathed     wrong   .     yes          ,         that’s    it     :          a     hitch     as     something     got     in     the     way     of     his     exhale          ,          interruption    most     people     wouldn’t     think     about          ,          but     far     too     much     for     johnny’s     fractured     mind   .     did     it     actually     happen          ?          probably     not         ,         but     he’s     feeling     sure     this     isn’t     the     case          ,           because     how     does     anyone     refuse     to     trust     their     own     brain          ?          stupid          ,          stupid          ,          delusional     freak   .

               he     doesn’t     say     a     coherent     word          ,          state     of     mind     literally     leaving     him     unable          ,          &          perhaps     it’s     for    the     best   .     he    had     taken     to     evan          ,          someone     who     was     willing     to     listen     to    him     ramble     mindlessly          &          was     not     thrown     off     by     his     strange     quirks     or     weird     appearance   .     no     one     is     safe     from     johnny          ,           though   .     he     should’ve     known   .     why     does     he     have     knives     on     him          ,          anyway          ?          ---------------          they     gleam          ,          polished     steel          ,          until     they’re     buried     into     evan’s     stomach     as     their     owner     pins     him     to     the     ground   .     oh   .
