What would you like to see on site?: dem spookiness vibes gimme all the weirdness of penumbra pls & ty
What kind of character are you hoping to play?: a guy looking for his twin brother and winds up in ishkar -has major "i am a grown ass man do not yell at me or i will cry" vibes and overall is a pretty gentle soul (tho he is a bit of a conspiracy nut so uh there's that lol). just wants to see his brother again and won't stop until he does or he drops dead, whichever of the two comes first
What is your favorite fantasy book from childhood?: there's a few but i wanna highlight redwall 'cause you can never go wrong with mice ppl (and like 50 books or something seriously there's a lot of books hfhfndjsk)

THE PLOT
Welcome to The Penumbra, dreamer. By what way did you come? If you seek a way out, the road ahead is long and twisting, but won’t you stay? We know you may be out of sorts, but we assure you… it will be a blessed experience.
The doorways are all over, dreamer, you need only find them. They may be in your world, or in the very darkest depths of your mind… but once you find your way here, you will want to find your way out. They always do.
Seek Passage, seek Void, see Radiance, pay mind to the Spinners and keep your wits about you, Dreamer. The path through this realm is long and harrowing, but not impossible. There are those who have come before you, after all, who have solved the riddle of the Penumbra. If you are the sort to find yourself a receiver of second chances, you may even become audience of the Highest, who may grant you more Time, new Life. If you decide you would rather stay, we will take you into our arms. Make you one of us. We grow so lonely here.

Ishka is nothing but an eerie little blip on the map of Michigan, with an unexplained aura to it that unnerves and entices. For reasons unknown, it is a hotspot for doorways that lead into a strange, in-between dream world known as The Penumbra. Inhabited by beings created by the children of the highest deities, it is a bizarre, layered landscape that Dreamers may find themselves trapped in – either fully or partially. There are some who may even seek it, driven mad by curiosity of the unknown.

Favorite plot tropes: I'm a sucker for some found family, some 'and I must scream' horrors, so many things I don't know the name for but love
What would you like to see on site?: I'm really gunning for a good community, building off of one another, and getting to write through a big story arch with this setting as everything sounds really intriguing and different.
What kind of character are you hoping to play?: I've got my eye on a few, one suffering ahole in a coma in the waking world and trapped away, some missing family drama, a good old-fashioned con artist, and then some inhuman glory!
What is your favorite fantasy book from childhood?: I definitely had the traditional The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe moment, the LOTR times, Eye of the World, some David Eddings, and some Robin McKinley.
