GOD-TOBER: DAY 1

-Arms Long and Embracing-

You hear it before you see it, the sound like creaking wood as our first god unfurls from the shadows. Its pantheon is none and it is alone, so it fills its arms with flesh, enfolding its congregation into its infinite embrace, thousands upon thousands of hands reaching and snatching. The hymns rise and crescendo, howling out its gospels. It is a god of apocalypse, of gathering and crushing and holding gently; a god of wanting. It’s followers pray that their arms might one day be as full as its own; of gold or of flesh, their prayers differ but always they are wanting, yearning; empty and desperate to be filled. 

You feel hands on your waist, on your arms, on your face. You feel them tug, more foldin around you, pulling, coaxing you backwards into the shadows. The congregation is delighted for you, for you are just what their god needs, you will occupy its emptiness, you will dispel its loneliness...for a time. 

Their joyful songs drown out your screams.

Goddess of fertility, nature, animals, medicine, magic, and healing venomous stings and bites.

Often depicted as a woman with a scorpion on her head. Also holding Ankh (symbol of life) but I couldn't come up with any good pose with her holding it so only scorpion here.

Late to the game but here is my entry for Inktober, Day 5-Chicken! I am also using prompts from Godtober and Day 5 was Hecate, so I did a Baba Yaga inspired witchy drawing! ;)
