Chance and Pauline save the infirmary’s 1,800,000 inhabitants with some help from a Wreau named Braig by saving a creature that could save them all, while trying to stop a mad man who could destroy them all in a few hours.

I thought that the book was a good adventure story because Chance and Pauline had to crawl through seemingly endless tunnels, then avoid halberd-wielding creatures and on top of that, somehow save the infirmary and 1,800,000 creatures.
