✨Noctis Resonantia✨ Also known as Noctirae, this nocturnal plant shelters a small bioluminescent creature within its petals.
It reacts to the vibrations and sounds of its surroundings, unfolding its petals and glowing more brightly the more harmonious the music becomes. In the presence of unpleasant or discordant sounds, it remains closed as a natural defense mechanism.
Despite its appearance, Noctirae is a harmless species that inhabits forests and valleys where music and nocturnal sounds abound.
Not long ago, I found a small flower that I absolutely loved and placed it by my window. Coincidentally, shortly after that, this contest appeared and ended up inspiring me greatly to participate. 😊
I didn’t want to create just a pretty flower, so I tried to design a creature with some kind of gameplay mechanic in mind.
Noctirae would function as a small musical creature: the player would need to press specific button combinations to “sing” to it. If delighted, it could reveal secret doors, show the location of hidden objects, or even share small secrets hidden throughout the environment. 🎶✨
