Additional Notes About Godzilla
So a couple weeks ago I posted a review/rant about the new Godzilla movie (rantview?).
In retrospect, I may have been a teeeeeny bit harsh. All of my statements about the movies various flaws are completely correct. I recant nothing. I will say though, that intense initial reaction was probably largely due to the fact that I was so excited to see it that I didn't wait for any of my friends to be available to see it with me.
If I had been in a theater with friends I could have whisper-vented my various heated but extremely witty remarks and I would have come away feeling that I had enjoyed the movie despite how utterly crappy it absolutely is. As it was, I was forced to sit in polite silence and keep all my feeling bottled up until the credits rolled and I was free to shout in all caps at various friends via text and rush home to post them all raw and unprocessed on the internets.
So while I do not apologize for the content of the remarks and stand by them, I do apologize a bit for their intensity.
