Aaaaaand yusho, yay, meh
Have a little throwback to last year’s surprise Aki Basho winner, Ozeki Goeido. He’ll be in kadoban status for the upcoming tournament – meaning that he must score 8 or more wins in order not to lose his rank –, just like a year ago, when he was the first Ozeki in this situation to go for a zensho-yusho, a championship with a perfect 15-0 record.
With at least 2 of the Yokozuna out, will he repeat this success?
I don’t like Goeido so this is great.
Champions of 2016.
The first tournament of 2017 is almost coming to an end -- who will be the champions this year?
Some nice hatakikomi, I wish he could get really healthy.
Little champion; big champion.
A.K.A. Gōeidō Gōtarō: then & now.
