Hi! I watched KKM years ago but only recently found out it has a light novel! I started rewatching the anime and I understand and like how clueless Yuuri is about the other world because it makes sense considering he is not familiar with it (plus he’s young), but I would like to ask, does he get more knowledgeable/wise/badass eventually in the novel???
Hello. Well, I’m not sure when I got these questions in my inbox because as everyone noticed I’ve been out of tumblr for a long time, so... sorry it’s a late response.
Yes and no, that’s my response to this haha. Yes, he totally gains more knowledge about the world and puts way more dedication in being a good king compared with the anime. Novel Yuuri rocks, he tries, a lot. And why “no”? because he tries but it’s still a novice and has a long way to go, and there’s a bunch of plotholes in my opinion so we can’t really know how much he studies and what exactly he studies (if he formally studies at all...) or other characters teach him, sometimes I really wonder. What we do know is that nobody seems to teach him how to control his damn maryoku and he just started learning by himself in very dangerous situations out of need in the latest novels. It goes beyond me why he’s not instructed in that XD
