i painted my nails blue today and thought of the sky. that's a cliche but here i am, piano notes falling off the page and lying against the clouds. speak of me when you least expect me to be around, and I will comfort you, framing you on the wall as my favourite work of art. — goghst

–and i’m here, lying against the grass. feeling the earth push back up at me with arms more wide open than life has presented me before. i whisper “i’m so glad you’re here” and the wind echoes your reply.

i offered u a cup of the night // and the stars spilled over the edges // but u drank it anyway // and when i asked if the moon still shone when it got too dark // u lifted ur shirt and showed me ur stomach glowing // and that was the only answer i needed // — goghst

–u offer me a piece of the day // i break it open and birds call out from the cracks // but i ate it anyway // because if u got the moon i at least wanted the sun // so i can share the same sky with you // at least until you question every answer i give you
