Scientific thoughts on Gohan falling asleep at the movie theater during that bad date.
Saiyans can see things faster than the human eye can’t. I saw a youtube video about dog vs humans watching TV. Link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpC8U30Hnrs That explained while for humans see the images in seamless movement on Ye Olde giant box TVs, dogs can see the individual pictures. And if everyone remembers baby Trunks playing with that brick of a cell phone, DBZ is late 80′s-90′s tech. Now movies actually ran at slower speeds that TVs once upon a time and actually needed to be jerry-rigged to be shown on Ye Olde TVs. Link here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frame_rate#Modern_video_standards . So if dogs can see the individual frames of TVs and Movies at 90′s quality, What was Gohan actually seeing? Yes it’s the “boy falls asleep during romantic movie” trope, but Gohan would have been experiencing more of a PowerPoint presentation than what we would call a movie.
Edit: A new YouTube video supporting my idea, this time directly talking about frame rate and our brain’s measure of time vs other animals like dogs and cats. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yhVuyE0e08
