Imagine that in the Star Trek episode "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" the skin colouration of the people of Cheron was not genetic but created by the traditional application of skin dye. Imagine that Lokai's people were the first to traditionally dye their own skin in this way. At some point the most wealthy and powerful of Bele's culture took it on as a fashion. But they had their servants, who were of Lokai's culture, apply it, and the colours got flipped because they were only used to doing it on themselves. Poorer people copied the wealthy, and over time it wend from a fashion trend to a cultural norm.
That wouldn't even stretch credulity, would it?

MckirkTOS-fuck yessssss codependency, over protectiveness from both parties, best friends to lovers, fun and playful but also potentially angstfull

MckirkAOS: 10/10 no notes FANTASTIC they’re my absolute favourite yayyyyyy codependency is at a high MAXIMUM angst after the whole Kahn thing happened, fantastic meetcute, all the academy fics are fantastic.
McspirkAOS-Not as good as TOS mcspirk or AOS mckirk but higher up than spirk. fun dynamic but I think the three of them aren’t as close yet(?)
