Whump Prompt #1031

After whumpee gets back to caretaker and is physically recovered enough they test their caretaker by doing things that would get them punished by whumper. swearing, insulting caretaker, dropping breakable things, purposefully messing with stuff so it‘ll break, anything like that.

Caretaker doesn't realize what is going on and is slowly going insane and cant help but wonder if maybe something in whumpee broke enough that they find joy in acting out.

Finally, after weeks of this going on, caregiver snaps when whumpee breaks an emotionally important object and shouts at whumpee. By the next morning whumpee is gone, and caregiver is scrambling to get them back and apologize.

It´s getting warmer ...

My little garter snake Dante is with me since October 2014, when he was nothing but a shoelace. He has successfully survived 2 hibernations since then, the last one is not yet finished.

Now from what I´ve learned, you can´t put an animal from "cold" to "here´s your hotspot with 30° C, have fun" within a few days. It takes some time. You have to slowly rise the temperature, so the animal can get used to it. In our case, this also means to add more substrate with time passing by, so the ground get´s warmer, too.

Of course Dante realises whenever something changes. For the last few weeks, he constantly tried to get closer to the lamp whenever the power went on. He has calmed down since the lamp is now constantly on for 10 hours/day. Most of the time, I find him curled up in a hide next to the lamp.

Most of the time. I just carefully looked at him ... to see this. (Crappy picture, ´cause I had to hide behind a door, otherwise he would have slithered away in full speed.)

oh! i forgot to post it but i finally got my vaccine yesterday!!!! it finally became available for my age group and now my arm kinds hurts but I'm super super happy
