It’s all good! Again, none of this is going to guarantee you a spot on the PA team; it can only increase your chances.

Work other cons or have experience working large events

Be active within the community, ESPECIALLY on the RT site. Talk to people! We all love RT, so it’s really not to terribly difficult to find something to talk about.

Apply (obvi!)

Have experience in customer service or PAing (not required, but does help a lot!).

Don’t be disappointed if you don’t get the PA position. I worked Registration my first year and I had an absolute BLAST!

On that same note, it often takes several years of people being a Guardian before they are added to the PA ranks, so maybe go for your first year as a different kind of Guardian. Everything is fun, so try out different things! Not each team is for everyone!
