Loveee the concept of something generally seen as good or an improvement being Actually Very Bad for whumpee, or an indicator of it. There's the stuff that happens in real life like how people will congratulate someone for losing weight when they're like. dying and how if your depressed friend suddenly gets way better with no change in environment or lifestyle it means they've made up their mind to end it. and there's fictional stuff like hat one post about an autistic person being possessed by a demon and everybody liking them better that way and ough. I love it. "Oh Whumpee must be doing better, they're wearing brighter clothing" but it's because they haven't done their laundry in weeks or their guardian is forcing them out of their preferred style do you see my vision
