i never understood the big fuss around bear spray. Like. Spraying someone in the face with literally any other aerosol would have the exact same short-term effect

I have no clue what this is in reference to but I finally got around to looking it up and apparently bear spray is more potent and longer lasting compared to pepper spray and is meant to be used to keep bears away at a distance, whereas pepper spray is designed for use against humans at close range.

Like, the issue is that it's way stronger than pepper spray therefore making the effect worse, so I imagine that's why people are like, generally opposed to using bear spray on other humans.

It's really harmful when used on humans for numerous reasons so like, don't use bear spray on people.

top five books

Thank you for the ask! Oh my god it's been so long since I've actually read books oh god- bear in mind my memory is shot, I used to read a lot but I can't remember exact names. 1. Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao- Last actual book I read and oh my god I cannot recommend it enough it's so good, it's so good like honestly. I need book two I am like, waiting.

2. The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien- Fun fact, I actually have the book around my house somewhere. Really big, including the appendixes- did you know that when it's divided into three books like it often is, the actual story part of book three is really short and the rest is just the appendixes? Learned that from experience in High School. Silmarillion and Hobbit are also here. 3. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins- I genuinely need to reread pretty much the entire series, it stuck with me and like. Yeah thinking about things when older hits different. I first read this as a middle schooler-

4. The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini- First started reading this in Middle School, so like, formative years lol. Finding fanfic for this on ffnet actually led me to discover the existence of the Silmarillion so there is that.

5. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer- I still have all of the books and still think about the series. Like above, started reading in Middle School and was so invested. Have been thinking about it again lately and like. Yeah. I want to add more but it'll get too long especially if I add the explanations and I am bad with names- I'm just glad I was able to pick out five, the latter four (series) being like, probably some of the more formative things I've read if that makes sense.
